Exploring faith, ideas, and the search for understanding.
Welcome.
I'm Mike Pietsch. I’ve been a pastor for more than forty years, serving in parish ministry, secondary schools, and universities across South Australia and Victoria. I currently serve as a university chaplain—here for students and staff in a pastoral way, and always ready for lively discussion and honest debate
Writings and reflections
My writings and reflections are now hosted in Google NotebookLM, an educational workspace that supports organised, in-depth study. A Google account is required for access; please get in touch if this creates any difficulty.
What You’ll Find
Sermons and devotions written to spark discussion
Reflections that connect scripture with lived human experience
Notes and questions exploring how belief and reason can work together
Ongoing work at the intersection of theology, psychology, community, and daily life
Each piece is created to encourage open, respectful engagement. The aim is not to present final answers but to share a continuing commitment to learning and exploration together.
Access to the Original Website
For historical reference, the original site is preserved and can be accessed on the Internet Archive.

Acknowledgement of Country
I acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work in the Adelaide CBD, and the Peramangk people whose Country extends through the Adelaide Hills.
I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring spiritual and cultural connection to the land, waters, and community.
May our shared learning and reflection honour their continuing stories and care for this place.
